Welcome to Third Space for Kids - Now Open!

Third Space for Kids is a thoughtfully designed community hub founded by a local parent and science teacher who wanted something more: a space that supports cognitive development through play. We reference the Maryland Early Learning Framework (Ages 3-5) and the MCPS Curriculum 2.0 (the integrated framework for Grades K-5) when designing Third Space for Kids and when curating our activities.

Inspired by the idea of a “third space,” a place beyond home and school, Third Space for Kids offers a warm, casual environment where children ages toddler through elementary school can engage with each other. We have an infant room for your convenience. Third Space for Kids includes an activities area, a reading room, and a climbing playroom for inclement weather.

Whether you’re planning a playdate or just needing a spot where your child can grow through intelligent play while you work or engage alongside them, this is your neighborhood haven. It’s a space where kids thrive, families connect, and the community comes together.
